Our 10th Virgin Mobile online viral and buzz marketing campaign is appropriately for the 10th annual V festival.

We’ve undertaken our 10th Virgin Mobile online viral and buzz marketing campaign, featuring such zany characters as the Festchuckers and the Katapult Kid, to help promote the 10th annual V festival which brings together Oasis, The Prodigy, Maroon 5, Kaiser Chiefs, Goldfrapp, Chemical Brothers, Joss Stone, Tony Christie and more.

The first raft of buzz generation activity for the promotion invites people to a fun online game, created by Unit 9, in which players decide where the Katapult Kid lands as he flies through the air over a graphic ‘virtual’ V festival - with the added incentive of winning tickets to the festival.

The second raft of buzz generation includes a viral clip by Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe featuring the Festchuckers, a group of hapless guys trying to get into the V festival. The clip promotes Last Chance Friday - a first for UK TV. In a live ticket giveaway running across 5 ad breaks, broadcast exclusively on Channel 4, the last 40 pairs of tickets to the V festival can be won.
